Professor Markley’s comments on the class:  “In the past several years as I've worked with interns I have found that each individual has different interests, different strengths/weaknesses.  I like to be flexible in relationship to the intern and their interests.  I also want to make sure that they gain a comprehensive understanding of what teaching at a community college entails.  I would like each intern to make up their specific "work plan" or job description in relationship to their unique needs using the outline above.  The time in which I meet with the intern includes discussion of upcoming lectures, discussing issues in the classroom (classroom management, class performance, etc.), issues in relationship to campus activities, and tutoring issues.”

If you are interested in discussing the possibility of a teaching internship with Professor Markley, please contact her at the e-mail or phone number listed above.
