This
organization is dedicated to assisting students with their professional
growth and development through workshops, fieldtrips, conferences, and
establishing networks. The ETA Chapter is a local chapter of a national
organization of anthropology students who meet certain academic standards
and who pay dues. The ETA Chapter is currently the largest chapter in
the nation. It publishes a Lambda Alpha Newsletter and submits
articles to the Lambda Alpha Journal (a yearly journal published
by the national office). The Chapter organizes workshops that promote
academic and professional excellence. Members are eligible to apply for
national scholarships. Membership is open to undergraduate students, currently
enrolled, who have completed 12 hours of anthropology coursework, and
who have an anthropology grade point average of 3.0 and a cumulative GPA
at CSUF of 2.5; and to graduate students who have a cumulative GPA of
3.25. Alumni are also eligible to join. Applicants should submit an application
card and dues.
