Extra Credit Opportunity:  Native American Awareness Month.

You can use two out the three following events for extra credit:

• Attend the event
• Write a 1-2 page (double-spaced) reaction paper
• Attach an extra credit signature slip available at the events to your paper
• Each event is worth 3 points (total of 6 pts for 2 events)

• At this time, the syllabus (below) has been updated, but other materials still need to be updated.
• This semester I am teaching 3 sections of Anthropology of Religion.  Please mention the section in which you are enrolled in all emails and assignments.
• Change to syllabus:  for week 12 (Nov. 7), replace the article by Juergensmeyer (The Global Rise of Religious Nationalism) with the article by Kehoe (The Ghost Dance Religion).

Extra Credit:

• Events:  To receive extra credit for attending events announced in class, I require a 1-2 page reaction paper describing what you saw and what you thought about it.  In most cases you will receive 2 percentage points (as long as your paper demonstrates that you actually observed and got something out of the event.
